Part of: Anime Places to Visit in Tokyo: 9 Real Spots

Nintendo TOKYO: Where It Is, How the Numbered Tickets Work, and the Rest of Shibuya PARCO's 6th Floor

Nintendo TOKYO, Nintendo's own official store, is on the 6th floor of Shibuya PARCO, 15-1 Udagawachō, about five minutes from Shibuya Station. On busy days, such as weekends and holidays, entry is by numbered ticket, one per person. The same floor has Pokémon Center Shibuya, a Jump Shop and Capcom Store Tokyo, which makes it one of the best single floors in Tokyo for game and anime fans. I run private anime tours in Akihabara most weeks, and Shibuya PARCO is the stop I recommend for the Nintendo side of a trip.

Nintendo's store is not in Akihabara, even though Akihabara is where people look for it. It is in Shibuya, in a department-store building, with neighbours that make the trip worth it.

Where is Nintendo TOKYO?

On the 6th floor of Shibuya PARCO, 15-1 Udagawachō, Shibuya; Nintendo's official page gives the walk as five minutes from Shibuya Station. Nintendo also runs official stores in Osaka, Kyoto and Fukuoka, but Nintendo TOKYO is the one in Tokyo.

Shibuya and Akihabara are on opposite sides of central Tokyo, so most visitors give them different days; my Akihabara anime tour covers the Akihabara day.

How do the numbered tickets at Nintendo TOKYO work?

According to Nintendo's official page, on days expected to be crowded, such as Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, entry is by numbered ticket. Before the store opens, tickets are handed out on the 1st floor of Shibuya PARCO; after opening, at the 6th-floor outside-stair entrance by the Mario statue. One ticket per person.

Two more official notes:

The practical advice: go on a weekday if you can, and on weekends arrive before opening to get a ticket on the 1st floor.

What else is on the 6th floor of Shibuya PARCO?

Pokémon Center Shibuya, a Jump Shop and Capcom Store Tokyo, each confirmed at Shibuya PARCO 6F by its own operator's site. A Gundam Base is also announced for the 5th floor, planned to open in November 2026.

Store Floor What it is (official)
Nintendo TOKYO 6F Nintendo's own official store
Pokémon Center Shibuya 6F Official Pokémon store
Jump Shop Shibuya 6F Official Weekly Shōnen Jump goods
Capcom Store Tokyo 6F Capcom's own shop: Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Ace Attorney and more
The Gundam Base Shibuya 5F Official Gunpla store, planned for November 2026

For the rest of each chain's Tokyo branches, see Pokémon Center Tokyo, Jump Shop Tokyo and Gundam Base Tokyo.

Is Nintendo TOKYO worth visiting?

For Nintendo fans, yes: it is the official store, with goods, games and consoles, and seasonal lines such as the Halloween Super Mario goods on sale until the end of October 2026. With Pokémon and Jump on the same floor, it is a strong half day for anyone into games and anime.

This is the honest section. On a weekend it can mean queuing for a ticket and waiting for your slot, and the floor is busy. If you only have one free afternoon and your interests are anime first, Akihabara gives more; if Nintendo and Pokémon are the point, Shibuya PARCO is the better trip. Nintendo also sells online in Japan, but the store has the atmosphere.

Can tourists shop tax-free at Nintendo TOKYO?

Ask at the counter, with your passport, if you will spend ¥5,000 or more before tax in one shop on one day. From 1 November 2026 you pay the tax at the till and get it back after a customs check at the airport. If you buy a console, check that it works with your region and voltage at home.

Tax-free shopping in Japan after November 2026 has the process; console region notes are in Akihabara retro game stores.
