Yodobashi Akiba Floor Guide: Where the Figures, Gunpla, Games and Cards Are
Yodobashi Camera Multimedia Akiba, at 1-1 Kanda Hanaokachō, one minute from Akihabara Station, is a huge electronics store with one floor anime and game fans want: the 6th, with games, plastic models, figures, trading cards, gachapon, crane games, character goods and concert lights. The 2nd floor has comic art supplies and travel goods, and the 8th has restaurants. I run private anime tours here most weeks, and its 6th floor is the chain-store option for new kits and figures.
For the electronics side, the camera, PC and appliance floors are listed below too.
What is on each floor of Yodobashi Akiba?
From Yodobashi's official floor guide: 1F phones, PCs and Apple; 2F PC accessories, gaming gear, stationery, travel goods, alcohol and discs; 3F cameras, watches and cosmetics; 4F audio, TVs and instruments; 5F home appliances; 6F games, toys and hobby, bicycles and fitness; 7F specialist shops; 8F restaurants; 9F golf.
| Floor | What the official floor guide lists |
|---|---|
| 9F | Golf floor |
| 8F | Restaurant floor |
| 7F | Specialist shops, including an Apple repair counter |
| 6F | Games (consoles, software, accessories, strategy guides, e-sports) and toys (model railways, plastic models, figures, radio control, trading cards, gachapon, crane games, modelling tools, character goods, concert lights, plush, collectible toys, candy toys); bicycles, fitness, outdoor |
| 5F | Home appliances, including appliances for overseas use |
| 4F | Audio, TVs, musical instruments |
| 3F | Cameras, film, watches, cosmetics, medicines |
| 2F | PC accessories, gaming gear, PC software, stationery (including comic art supplies and character stationery), travel goods (suitcases, voltage converters, plug adapters), alcohol, video and music discs; buy-back counter |
| 1F | Mobile phones, PCs, tablets, Apple shop; stroller lending |
| B1 | Specialist shop, bike parking |
The address is 1-1 Kanda Hanaokachō, on the station's east side; Akihabara Station exits shows which way to walk. For the anime shops on the other side, my Akihabara anime tour plans the floors around your series.
Is Yodobashi Akiba good for Gunpla and figures?
For new releases, yes. The 6th floor sells plastic models with the tools to build them, figures, trading cards and gachapon in one place, at the chain's normal prices. It does not sell secondhand or out-of-print items; for those, Akihabara's collector shops are the place.
This is the honest section. Yodobashi is convenient, not a specialist: new kits and current figures are easy, but rare or older items are not. Pair it with the secondhand floors in where to buy anime figures in Akihabara, and with Radio Kaikan on the Electric Town side of the station. For Gunpla specifically, the official Gundam store is covered in The Gundam Base Tokyo.
What else is useful for visitors at Yodobashi Akiba?
The 2nd floor sells suitcases, voltage converters and plug adapters; the 5th floor has appliances for overseas use; the 1st floor lends strollers; and the store has an after-hours pick-up counter for orders. The 8th floor restaurants are an easy meal near the station.
For electronics advice, including Japan's 100-volt power, see Akihabara electronics. If you shop tax-free, ask at the till; from 1 November 2026 you pay the tax at the till and get it back after a customs check at the airport.
Are there events at Yodobashi Akiba?
Yes, regularly. The store's news page in early October 2026 lists a signing event for Earth Defense Force 5 for Nintendo Switch 2 on 8 October, and a signing on 11 October for NAOKI Mechanics: Sunrise Real Robot 80s.
How to take part differs by event, so read each notice on the store page before you go.
