Fujiko F. Fujio Museum: How to Get Tickets, How to Get There, and What Is On
The Kawasaki City Fujiko F. Fujio Museum, dedicated to the creator of Doraemon, is in Tama-ku, Kawasaki, just outside Tokyo. Entry is by advance booking only, with seven timed entry slots a day, and the museum does not sell tickets on site. Book online, show the QR code, and arrive within an hour of your slot. Admission is 1,000 yen for adults, and children aged 3 and under are free. A paid shuttle bus runs from Noborito Station, about 15 minutes from Shinjuku or Shibuya. It closes every Tuesday. I run private anime tours in Akihabara most weeks, and this is the checklist I give Doraemon fans.
The museum turned 15 on 3 September 2026, and its anniversary original-art exhibition focuses on Doraemon's secret gadgets.
How do you get Fujiko F. Fujio Museum tickets?
Through the official ticket site linked from the museum's page (e-tix). Tickets are for a date and an entry time; up to six per purchase. If a slot still has space on the day, you can buy online until 45 minutes after that slot starts. Paid tickets can be cancelled up to three days before your visit; after that there are no refunds.

How do you get to the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum?
Take the Odakyū line or JR Nambu line to Noborito Station, about 15 minutes from Shinjuku or Shibuya at the fastest, then the museum's direct shuttle bus, which runs every 10 to 15 minutes and takes about 9 minutes. You can also walk about 16 minutes from Mukōgaoka-Yūen (Odakyū) or about 15 minutes from Shukugawara (JR Nambu). There is no parking.
| Route (official) | Detail |
|---|---|
| To Noborito | Odakyū or JR Nambu line; about 15 min from Shinjuku or Shibuya at the fastest |
| Shuttle bus | Paid; every 10–15 min; about 9 min; IC cards such as Suica and PASMO accepted |
| Walking | About 16 min from Mukōgaoka-Yūen; about 15 min from Shukugawara |

The shuttle runs on the museum's opening days. The museum's phone line is in Japanese only, so handle changes online where you can.
What is on at the museum in 2026?
For its 15th anniversary the museum is running an original-art exhibition on Doraemon's secret gadgets, showing manga pages from individual Doraemon stories, with a photo spot at the entrance. The museum also has permanent exhibits, the F Theater, a "harappa" play area, a café with a menu themed on the artwork, and a shop.
This is the honest section. It is a museum built around original manga art, so it suits fans of the manga as much as the anime. Because entry is timed and there are no on-site sales, the most common problem is turning up without a ticket. Book before you travel.
Is it worth combining with Tokyo?
Yes, as a half-day. Noborito is close to Shinjuku and Shibuya by train, so you can pair the museum with an afternoon in either. The museum is closed every Tuesday and over the New Year holidays, so check the official calendar before you choose a date.
For other anime museums near Tokyo, the Ghibli Museum is in Mitaka, and the Toei Animation Museum is in Nerima. If you shop tax-free on your trip, from 1 November 2026 you pay the tax at the till and get it back after a customs check at the airport.
