Dragon Ball Store Tokyo: Where It Is in Tokyo Station, What Is Inside, and How Entry Works
DRAGON BALL STORE TOKYO is the world's first official Dragon Ball store, according to the official Dragon Ball site. It opened on 14 November 2025 on the 1st floor of Tokyo Station Ichibangai, one minute from the Yaesu North Exit. Inside are a giant Shenron on the ceiling, Goku statues, Hoi-Poi-Capsule-style capsule machines and store-only goods. I run private anime tours in Akihabara, two stops away, and this is the quickest Dragon Ball stop in Tokyo.
It sits on the same level as the Pokémon Store and Sanrio, at the ground-floor end of Tokyo Character Street, so it is easy to combine with a look at the rest of the street.
Where is the Dragon Ball Store in Tokyo?
On the 1st floor of Tokyo Station Ichibangai, 1-9-1 Marunouchi, inside JR Tokyo Station outside the ticket gates. The official Dragon Ball site gives the walk as one minute from the Yaesu North Exit. Tokyo Station Ichibangai's floor guide lists it as part of Tokyo Character Street.
From Akihabara, Tokyo Station is two stops on the JR Yamanote line, which makes the store an easy morning add-on to a day with my Akihabara anime tour. Most of Tokyo Character Street's other shops are one floor down, on B1, including the Jump Shop and the ONE PIECE Mugiwara Store.
What is inside the Dragon Ball Store?
The official site describes an orange-themed store with Shenron suspended from the ceiling, a large statue of Goku and Shenron at the entrance, a Super Saiyan Goku statue with a desert backdrop for photos, an S.H.Figuarts diorama, capsule machines styled after Hoi-Poi Capsules, and original goods sold only at this store.
| Feature (from the official site) | What it is |
|---|---|
| Shenron on the ceiling | A giant dragon overhead, the first thing you look up at |
| Goku and Shenron statue | Large three-dimensional statue at the entrance |
| Super Saiyan Goku statue | With a desert backdrop, set up for pose photos |
| S.H.Figuarts diorama | Figure dioramas of battle scenes |
| Hoi-Poi Capsule gacha | Capsule-toy machines styled after the series' capsules |
| Store-only goods | Apparel, accessories and collectibles you cannot buy elsewhere |
Do you need a reservation for the Dragon Ball Store?
Advance lottery reservations were required for the opening days, 14 to 17 November 2025. For entry after that, the store said it would announce the rules on its official website and X account, so check those before you go, especially around new releases.
This is the honest section. I could not find a current statement of the entry rules on the official pages I read, so I will not tell you there is never a queue or a ticket. Character stores in Tokyo commonly hand out numbered tickets when a new item releases, and this one launched with a lottery. Weekday mornings are the safest bet.
Is the Dragon Ball Store worth visiting?
For a Dragon Ball fan, yes: the statues and the Shenron ceiling are worth the stop on their own, and the store-only goods are the point. It is a single store, not an attraction, so plan fifteen to forty-five minutes depending on how much you buy.
For older Dragon Ball figures and out-of-print goods, the secondhand floors in Akihabara are the better hunting ground; where to buy anime figures in Akihabara explains how they work. Toei Animation, the studio behind the Dragon Ball anime, also runs a small free museum in Nerima: Toei Animation Museum.
Can tourists shop tax-free there?
Ask at the counter, with your passport, if you will spend ¥5,000 or more before tax in one shop on one day. From 1 November 2026 you pay the tax at the till and get it back after a customs check at the airport.
Tax-free shopping in Japan after November 2026 has the full process.
