Doraemon Store Tokyo: Where to Buy Doraemon Goods While the Odaiba Shop Is Closed

Doraemon's main official shop in Tokyo, Doraemon Mirai Depart ("Future Department Store") on the 2nd floor of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba, is closed for renovation from 1 October to 30 November 2026 and reopens on 1 December. Until then, there is a pop-up shop, Doraemon Mirai Depart in Tokyo Dome City 2026, from 9 October to 23 November, and THE DORAEMON STORE on the 5th floor of Shibuya PARCO is open as usual. I run private anime tours in Akihabara most weeks, and this is the up-to-date answer I give guests who ask for Doraemon.

Dates come from the official Doraemon Channel news of late September and early October 2026; check again close to your visit.

Is the Doraemon Future Department Store open?

Not in October and November 2026. The official news says Doraemon Mirai Depart, on DiverCity Tokyo Plaza 2F, is temporarily closed from 1 October to 30 November 2026, and reopens on Tuesday 1 December 2026 with store-original goods and new items marking the renewal. Those new items go on sale from 1 December, in the shop and online.

What is at the Tokyo Dome City pop-up?

Mainly Doraemon Mirai Depart's original goods, plus new releases: neon-design postcards sold here first, and new colours of the fluffy cardigan and lounge socks. Until 31 October it also displays some of the items that go on sale when the Odaiba shop reopens. Spending a set amount gets a monthly sticker while stocks last.

This is the honest section. The pop-up is a temporary shop inside Tokyo Dome City, not the full Odaiba store, and the renewal items on display are not for sale until December. If you want the full Mirai Depart experience, plan for after 1 December.

What is THE DORAEMON STORE in Shibuya?

A Doraemon shop on Shibuya PARCO's 5th floor focused on fashion and small interior goods, built around the idea of "the crossing point of the future and now". It opened in September 2025 and is run by Benelic, the same company as Mirai Depart. Some new Mirai Depart items are also sold there.

Shibuya PARCO's 6th floor has Nintendo TOKYO and Pokémon Center Shibuya, so it is an easy combination; Pokémon Center Tokyo covers the Pokémon side. If you shop tax-free, from 1 November 2026 you pay the tax at the till and get it back after a customs check at the airport.

Where else can you find Doraemon in Tokyo?

In general character shops: Kiddy Land Harajuku lists Doraemon on its 2nd floor, and Akihabara's anime shops carry Doraemon goods alongside other series. For animation history, the Suginami Animation Museum covers Japanese animation more broadly.

Tokyo Character Street at Tokyo Station is the place for many official character shops under one roof, and the Suginami Animation Museum is a free museum of Japanese animation.
