Chiikawa Land Tokyo: Where All Five Official Stores Are, and Which One to Visit

Chiikawa Land, the official Chiikawa store chain, has five shops in Tokyo: Harajuku, Tokyo Station (on Tokyo Character Street), Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi, Shinjuku, and Ikebukuro PARCO, which opened on 3 April 2026. The Shinjuku store is one of the largest in the Kantō area, according to its opening announcement. There is no Chiikawa Land in Akihabara. I run private anime tours in Akihabara most weeks, and this is the Chiikawa answer I give guests.

Every store sells official Chiikawa goods; the differences are location and size. Pick the one on the route you already have.

Where are the Chiikawa Land stores in Tokyo?

The official store list names five in Tokyo. Tokyo Station's is in Tokyo Character Street inside the station; Shinjuku's is on the 2nd floor of the Okadaya Building, 3-23-17 Shinjuku; Ikebukuro's is in Ikebukuro PARCO; and there are stores in Harajuku and at Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi.

The official list also has Kantō-area stores in Yokohama and at Koshigaya Lake Town in Saitama. From Akihabara, Tokyo Station is two stops on the JR Yamanote line, so it is the easy add-on to a day with my Akihabara anime tour.

Which Chiikawa Land store is the biggest?

Shinjuku, going by the official numbers. Its opening announcement, issued by Kiddy Land, describes it as one of the largest in the Kantō area, at about 369 square metres on the 2nd floor of the Okadaya Building. If you want the widest range in one place, go there.

This is the honest section. The smaller stores carry much of the same range, and popular new items can sell out at every branch. Chasing a specific new release across several stores in one day usually means several queues and the same sold-out sign. Choose one store by location and enjoy it.

Which Chiikawa Land should you visit as a tourist?

Tokyo Station if you are passing through or staying near Akihabara. Solamachi if you are going up Tokyo Skytree; the Pokémon Center, Jump Shop and Kirby Café are also in Solamachi. Ikebukuro if you are doing Otome Road or Sunshine City. Shinjuku for the biggest range.

Is there Chiikawa merchandise in Akihabara?

Yes, though not an official Chiikawa Land. animate Akihabara's Building 1 lists Chiikawa goods on its 3rd floor, alongside Sanrio. Capsule-toy machines and the secondhand shops also carry Chiikawa items. For the official store, go to Tokyo Station.

Can tourists shop tax-free at Chiikawa Land?

Ask at the counter, with your passport, if you will spend ¥5,000 or more before tax in one store on one day. From 1 November 2026 you pay the tax at the till and get it back after a customs check at the airport.
