Harajuku Anime Stores: Sailor Moon, Kiddy Land, Sanrio, Ultraman and Love Live! in One Walk

Harajuku is a fashion district, but it has five official anime and character shops worth knowing: the Sailor Moon store on Laforet Harajuku's B0.5 floor; Kiddy Land Harajuku, five floors of character goods from Snoopy to Pokémon; Sanrio Harajuku with SANRIO CAFE upstairs on Takeshita-dori; ULTRA MART TOKYO, Tsuburaya's own Ultraman shop, which is cashless only; and Harajuku Gamers, the official tie-up shop for Love Live! Superstar!! I run private anime tours in Akihabara most weeks, and this is the Harajuku list I give guests.

Harajuku is character goods and official shops; secondhand and figure hunting belong to Akihabara.

Which anime shops are in Harajuku?

From each shop's official page: Sailor Moon store, Laforet Harajuku B0.5, 1-11-6 Jingūmae; Kiddy Land Harajuku, 6-1-9 Jingūmae; Sanrio Harajuku and SANRIO CAFE, Takeshita-dori Square, 1-16-4 Jingūmae; ULTRA MART TOKYO, 1-14-24 Jingūmae; Harajuku Gamers, 6-16-2 Jingūmae.

Two more official shops sit at the Omotesandō crossing: hololive production's official shop in Tokyu Plaza Omotesando "OMOKADO", and ONE PIECE Mugiwara Store HARAJUKU in Tokyu Plaza Harajuku "Harakado".

What should you know before visiting each one?

The Sailor Moon store limits store-original items to three of each per purchase and may use numbered tickets on busy days. Kiddy Land is a tax-free shop. SANRIO CAFE has 32 bookable and 34 walk-in seats, with bookings from two people. ULTRA MART TOKYO takes no cash, and some limited items have been sold by LINE lottery. Harajuku Gamers is Gamers' Superstar!! shop.

This is the honest section. The Sailor Moon store and ULTRA MART both publish entry limits or lotteries for busy days and new releases, so check each shop's official page or X account before a release day. For Ultraman, the M78 shops at Tokyo Station and Solamachi are simpler alternatives to ULTRA MART.

How do you plan a Harajuku anime walk?

All five are in Jingūmae, Shibuya City. Laforet is one minute from Meiji-jingumae (Harajuku) Station's exit 5; put the other addresses into a map app and walk them in a loop. Allow an hour or two, more if you queue or book the café.

Can you shop tax-free in Harajuku?

At some shops. Kiddy Land's floor guide carries the tax-free mark; the Sailor Moon store's official pages do not mention it, so ask at the till. From 1 November 2026 you pay the tax at the till and get it back after a customs check at the airport.
